Preparing and Submitting High-Quality Scientific Research
The Journal of Bio-Intelligence (JBI) welcomes the submission of original, high-quality research that advances knowledge in biological sciences, computational intelligence, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, and related interdisciplinary fields.
Authors are encouraged to read these guidelines carefully before submitting a manuscript. Adherence to these instructions helps ensure an efficient editorial assessment and facilitates the peer-review process.
Submission of a manuscript indicates that all authors have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the journal's editorial policies, publication ethics, and submission requirements.
Scope of the Journal
Manuscripts should fall within the journal's aims and scope and demonstrate scientific originality, methodological rigor, and relevance to the advancement of bio-intelligence and interdisciplinary life sciences.

Manuscript Preparation
Authors should prepare manuscripts using clear, concise, and scientifically appropriate language.
A typical research article should include:
Title Page
The title page should contain:
- Full article title
- Running title (if applicable)
- Full names of all authors
- Institutional affiliations
- Corresponding author's name
- Email address of the corresponding author
- ORCID iDs (recommended)
- Author contribution statement
- Funding information
- Conflict of Interest declaration
Abstract
The abstract should provide a concise summary of the study, including:

- Objectives
- Methods
- Key findings
- Conclusions
The abstract should accurately reflect the content of the manuscript and avoid references or unexplained abbreviations.
Keywords
Provide 4–8 relevant keywords that accurately represent the subject of the manuscript and facilitate indexing and discoverability.
Main Text
A typical research manuscript should include the following sections, where appropriate:

Alternative structures may be acceptable for review articles, methodological papers, or other article types.
Acknowledgements
Authors may acknowledge individuals, institutions, or organizations that contributed to the work but do not meet the criteria for authorship.
Funding Statement
Authors should identify all financial support received for the research.
If no funding was received, authors should state:
Conflict of Interest Statement
All authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the reported research.
If no conflicts exist, authors should state:

Authors should clearly describe the contribution made by each author.

Data Availability Statement
Authors should indicate how the research data supporting the findings can be accessed.
Examples include:
- Data available within the article.
- Data available in a public repository.
- Data available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
- Data cannot be shared due to ethical or legal restrictions.
References
References should:
- Be accurate and complete.
- Include only sources cited in the manuscript.
- Be formatted according to the journal's reference style.
- Include Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), where available.
- Cite primary research whenever appropriate.
Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all references.
Figures and Tables
Figures and tables should:
- Be cited in numerical order.
- Include clear titles and legends.
- Be of publication-quality resolution.
- Present data accurately.
- Avoid unnecessary duplication of information contained in the text.
Any previously published figures require permission from the copyright holder unless covered by an applicable open license.
Supplementary Material
Authors may submit supplementary materials that support the manuscript, including:
- Datasets
- Software
- Source code
- Videos
- Audio files
- Extended methods
- Additional tables
- Additional figures
Supplementary files should be clearly labeled and referenced within the manuscript.
Ethical Requirements
Research involving human participants, animals, biological materials, or sensitive data must comply with applicable ethical standards.
Where appropriate, manuscripts should include:
- Institutional ethics approval details.
- Informed consent statements.
- Animal welfare compliance statements.
- Clinical trial registration information.
- Biosafety approvals, where applicable.
Authors should consult the journal's Publication Ethics policy for detailed requirements.
Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence tools may be used to assist with language editing or technical support.
However:
- AI systems cannot be listed as authors.
- Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and originality of the manuscript.
- Material use of AI tools should be disclosed in accordance with the journal's AI Policy.
Plagiarism and Originality
Submitted manuscripts must represent original scholarly work.
The journal does not accept:
- Plagiarism
- Duplicate publication
- Redundant publication
- Data fabrication
- Data falsification
- Image manipulation intended to misrepresent findings
Manuscripts may undergo originality screening during editorial evaluation.
Peer Review
Eligible manuscripts undergo an independent double-blind peer-review process conducted by qualified experts.

Revision of Manuscripts

Authorship

- Administrative support
- Data collection alone
- General supervision
- Institutional position
Changes to authorship after submission require the agreement of all authors and approval by the editorial office.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright to their published work.
Upon acceptance, authors grant the Journal of Bio-Intelligence a non-exclusive license to publish and archive the article in accordance with the journal's Copyright & Licensing Policy.
Published articles are distributed under the journal's designated open-access license.
